Is AVG reporting on the Virus results page that C:\WINDOWS\system32\shell32.dll
has been changed when you run a scan? As long as it's not reporting an
infection, this is not a problem. Simply hit the F3 key and tell AVG to accept
the change.
During a scan AVG checks to see if certain Windows files have been changed. The
fact that these files have been changed is usually the result of a recently
installed update to XP that was installed automatically or through Windows
Update.
Take a look here for more information.

If you have any other questions on this subject, you might want to post your
question on the appropriate AVG forum.
Good luck
