I want to share my files with only two guy on my network. When I add them to
my permission list they not only have acess to my shared files over the
network but can come and login my computer and do whatever they want. Is
there a way to make accounts which are only good over the network and not at
the workstation it self?
running Windows xp pro sp2

thanks,
kristopher

Presumably you have a peer-to-peer network and not a Domain? If so, no
you can't, as all security information is held locally on each machine,
and so the account you are sharing with actually resides on your machine
as well.

thanks. that's what I thought. I guess i may just have to learn how setup a
domain.
