Sharing

Hi!

Every time I close Windows Mail, there is the following alert:

"Sharing
This folder is shared with other people
If you delete this folder, it will no longer be shared.
Folder: C:\Users\Olli\AppData\Local\Temp\pprclui_2684_2.ui
Share Name: C:\Users\Olli\AppData\Local\Temp\pprclui_2684_2.ui"

It's quite annoying and I don't know what I can do about it.

Kind regards,
Olli

Are you running antivirus software? If so, disable email scanning and see
if that makes a difference.

Shutting down my antivirus program does not make a difference. I don't know
if I didn't notice at first or if this is new: I get a similar alert when I
first log into my account (just with a different folder). So the problem does
not appear to be a Windows Mail problem anymore. I was wondering if the
permission settings of folders could be it, or the read-only setting. I
remember playing around with them but I don't know if that could be related
to the problem.

You might look at the Windows Application section of Event Viewer and see if
there are ESENT errors.

Hi

I have exactly the same (feature) here!

Currently I'm running Windows vista RC1, build 5600.

Every time I start Winmail and doubleclicking a message, closing both the
messagewindow and Winmail, a window pops up telling me that a folder in
C:\users\<myname>\AppData\Local\Temp\ is shared with other people!

I've tried to disable the emailprotection in my antivirus software (CA) and
managed to reproduce the error anyway.

The Event viewer do not show anything in the ESENT messages except that the
database engine in Winmail has started or stopped a instance, which i presume
is normal ?

But it is worrying though !

Well, post back if you get it in RTM.
