Hi!
My network now:
Several computers connected to a D-link router. This router is connected to
an ISP.
My router get the IP address dymamically.
My problem:
A couple of times every year the ISP is down for repair due to damages from
thunder strikes or similar accidents.
My question:
When the ISP is down I want to use a dial-up internet connection in one of
my laptops. I want to connect the laptop LAN connector to the router WAN port.
How do I configure this laptop to function as an ISP. So my router doesnt se
any difference...

If you don't want to re-configure the router, you may want to use ICS which
can be DHCP server to assign dynamic IP to the router. This how to may help,
