Sharepoint ()Queries, Forms, Reports)

Using Sharepoint, I know that Tables must be constructed differently
than would otherwise be done in Access 2010. My Question is: Can all
other objects (Queries, Forms, Reports) be created in Access 2010 just
as they would have been if not being published to Sharepoint?

yah if you base your tables on sharepoint, of course you can build
queries / forms / reports on top of these tables

I just think that liked tables _SUCK_ from a performance standpoint,
sorry.

I'd reccomend throwing away sharepoint and working with SQL Server
directly.

You obviously don't understand what a linked table is, since from a
practical standpoint, an ADP uses something that's functionally
equivalent.

But you don't know anything about anything at all, so it's not
surprising

joining two remote tables using SQL Server gives you splendid
performance

joining two linked tables in Access is like corn-holing your mom..
boring, slow and tedious

(1) How about disliked tables, Mr. Kempf?

(2) Mr. Kempf, if you _thought_, you'd not post the vast majority of the
vacuous, meaningless, inane newsgroup articles that you do.

Eat shit crybaby

Jet isn't stable enough for a single record and a single user.

Anything more than that, you should move to SQL Server

Access Data Projects allows you to keep your existing forms and
reports.
So so so so so very sorry that you're too old, fat and lazy to learn a
modern database system.

You obviously don't understand the concept.

Linked tables are just a shortcut to retrieving data. They are no
slower or faster than using a connect string in a query or opening a
recordset with the connect string equivalent to the linked table
definition. Any of those approaches to loading data can be slow or
inefficient, depending on how you use them.

That you don't know this demonstrates once again the profound depth
of your ignorance in regard to all things database-related, whether
Access or SQL Server or any other db.

Linked tables aren't reliable. They're a pain in the butt. And
they're a waste of time.

As always--
Don't run around telling me that I don't know what I'm talking about..
Just because we disagree.

SQL Server won the world over in the past decade.. Meanwhile, you're
stuck in the 1st grade of the technology world (because you listen to
dumb obsolete MVPs)

You demonstrate with EVERY SINGLE POST that you haven't a freaking
clue about anything related to databases, whether Access or SQL
Server.

I don't need to do anything other than point an laugh.

keep your tables in one place-- where they belong-- SQL Server

Free clue, Aaron:

One can keep one's tables in SQL Server AND USE ACCESS AS FRONT END!

Amazing!

You should read up on that -- it's only been possible since you were
in grade school.

See, here's where you make yourself look like an idiot. Everything
you post demonstrates that you don't have the foggiest notion what
you're talking about -- you lack the basic knowledge about how the
moving parts of any database application interact.

Go ahead -- keep posting! It's pretty amusing to see what new idiocy
you are able to come up with each time.

You are FULL OF SHIT kid.

Just because I hate Jet-- Doesn't make me stupid. It just means I've
grown into man-sized databases

Jet just sucks.. Meanwhile, you claim that Replication is still an
option.

ROFLMAO

just because you disagree with me.. that doesn't make me stupid. It
makes YOU stupid.
