We have shared directories on the system that are user specific.
We have a shared printer on the system that is available to all users.

For over three years now, we've been utilizing the built-in file and printer
sharing to share the printer across the network.

This morning, none of our workstations are able to connect to the printer,
resulting in various errors ranging from the simple "access denied" to the
more complex "the server is not configured for transactions" and no matter
what I do, restart the workstation, recreate the users, recreate the printer,
etc. the printer is simply unavailable across the network.

However, the directories that are shared on that workstation still work just
fine.

Can anyone explain this? We are in dire need of this printer.

Thanx.
