Shared Inbox: How to prevent outlook marking items as read when I open them?

Hi,

I have access to another users inbox but each time I open an Item I have to right click it and then click "mark as unread". How can I make it so that even when I open an item, it still stays as unread?

All the preview pane options have been set to not mark items as read but I need to go a step further and have no items marked as read until I specifically instruct outlook to mark them as read. Thanks for your help.
