Shared folders

using win2k server have a folder setup for a few users to
share. shared thru computer mgmt shared folders, added
folders and user who have access to it. now after a power
outage they could no longer seee the share or the server
when they go thru network neighborhood its displayed
there and the select the server then the folder it hangs
up there pc ( which is running xp) it hangs up the pc to
the point where you cant close the app the only thing you
can do is force a shutdown any thoughts pls help

Look in the Event Viewer of the server for any errors that may indicate the problem
and check that the server service is started. At the command prompt enter [ net share
IPC$ ] to see if it helps. If it does not then try to uninstall and reinstall file
and print sharing on the server. --- Steve
