Shared Borders

I have created lots of shared borders in the past with no problems. Here's
what I am running up against out of the blue:

In my main site, my shared border works fine.
When I create subsites (as of this week), the shared border appears on all
pages as it should, but you cannot see it in preview in browser. And
actually, nothing can be seen in IE....even plain old text that I am saving
(and refreshing)...Something else I've noticed is that while the border is
working in the software, the shared borders folder is not appearing in the
folder list.

I've never had this problem before. Why would this all of a sudden happen
just in newly created subsites?

Okay, my plain text that I type in is working now...but borders are still
doing the same... Thanks again for any help.

Are you creating shared borders in each subsite/subweb, as they will not function correctly across
subwebs/sites?

How are you opening the subsites in FP?

Thomas,

I open subsites from within my folder list and/or through a direct link or
via a hyperlink.

For subsites that were already created, if I make any changes - plain text,
shared borders, etc...nothing appears except the background color.

I can create the subsite (using Frontpage Administration) and have it appear
in my folder list. If I go to design or change the page, it is correct on
the design page, coding works - but nothing shows in preview in browser or in
the preview page.

This is soooo very weird. Thank you, Terri

I always open the root web first, then I double click to open any subsites/webs (folder with a
globe).
