share problem

i wanted to set up a folder to share on the net, i have iis setup ok
but when i try accessing a folder i set up to share it asks fo
username and password, why? what is this password to go into folder
or how do i set one up?

I'm having the same problem
When I ask for http:///127.0.0.1 istead of my web page I get the popup
window asking for username and password

Found a workaround that might interest you, 3rd party tool named visIIS it's
a shortcut to add and change the start page file...
