share a printer

I am running xp home on my desktop pc and have recently
added a router on my dsl modem and would like to share a
printer with my wifes laptop however I do not want to
necessarily share files..The main reason for installing
the router was to enable her to access the internet using
high speed wirelessly...She would however like to be able
to access the printer..Is it possible to allow her access
to the epson 825 printer without having to share any files
or access to my pc at all ??..Thanks to all for any

No. Not unless you want to upgrade to XP Pro.

You can 'hide' them all as per
http://www.practicallynetworked.com/sharing/xp/filesharing.htm
but it's not a very practical solution.

in reply to your response..Her computer is strictly for
work purposes and reall does not need to have any access
to mine..She has her own side of my xp to use for
personal so this is just to be able to use our printer
for her work laptop..Thanks again for your
