sfc /scannow from copy of XPSP on hard drive.

I want to do sfc /scannow from a copy of the installation CD on my hard
drive. I've changed the registry settings as below but the computer still
asks for the installation disk to be inserted.

Should I have changed the installation sources or have I made a mistake in
the registry changes?

At HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup

D:\XPSP\ServicePackFiles
D:\XPSP\ServicePackFiles\ServicePackCache

Copy of CD is at D:\XPSP

E:\ is the CD drive.

Help will be greatly appreciated.
