Running sfc /scannow under XP SP2 results in sfc complaining that it
needs the XP Home SP2 installation CD to proceed.
SP2 installs C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles\i386 as well as the registry
key
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Setup\ServicePackSourcePath
with key value C:\Windows\ServicPackFiles which contains the folder i386
which should provide the needed SP2 source files.
Any ideas on how to correct SFC's problem with finding its own source?
