I'm having my FTP sevice running right now. The thing is my pc is in a LAN
and has a private IP...how should I configure my FTP site so that I can
access remotely, in other words, where to setup my gateway(the router)'s
public ip???

Thanks

Hi Nick,

You don't need to do anything else on the FTP server, but you do need to
configure your router to direct any incoming FTP traffic back to your
server - basically publish your FTP server on your router. How you do this
depends on hte make and model of the router.

Thanks,

If your router has port forwarding or NAT translation you simply map the
public IP to the private IP. Make sure you use the standard FTP port
assignment.
