Setup.exe files not working

when i go to run the setup.exe files nothing happens. I
click on it an the hour glass appears for about 2 seconds
then dissapears, when i check the task man. it shows up as
a running process but nothing is happening. If anyone could
help i would be glad.

Setup.exe for what application? Please repost with a better explanation
of what you are trying to do.

Bob, I have the same problem for my earthlink.exe and MS
Office, right after a system restore and the NTLDR
compressed fiasco.

the programs im trying to install are 2 trojan scanners

and some game demos, but it also happened with photoshop 7,
but after a while it finally worked with PS7
