dows CD.

My installation got corrupted. After many hours, decided to do a fresh
install on new SATA RAID mirrored pair. Set up onboard RAID, walked through
BIOS, and booted to my genuine MS Windows XP SP2 cd. No visible scratches,
either. Install starts, then I get this error about not being able to read
the CD. What the hey?

I am in the middle of a large project, and need to get this PC up and
running again. Any ideas why I am unable to get beyond this error?

Thank you, thank you, thank you in advance!

A good first try is to copy the i386 folder from the CD to the hard drive,
and start setup from there. Boot to a DOS floppy with smartdrv.exe on it, run
smartdrv, then run ../i386/winnt.exe
