Setup can not copy file when installing Windows

Hi All,

I have got a strange problem when I setup Windows XP on my computer. I
kept on getting this error:

Setup cannot copy the file: dbghelp.dll
.....

When I use ESC to skip the file, all the files beyond dbghelp.dll are
not copiable!

Firstly, I thought my installation CD is corrupted, so I use the
original CD on the installation. I still got this same error.

Then, I tried to install Windows Server 2003. I got the same error
again! What's so special of this file dbghelp.dll?! I really don't
understand.

I tried the same CDs on another computer, they work just fine!

Any suggestions please?
Thanks a lot!

You should do a chkdsk
You can do it in windows the simplest way or you can do it in msdos

run>cmd
chkdsk /f

No suggestions I'm afraid, but I have a similar problem.
Due to too small a partition on an olde computer (466 pentium 2- HD 12 GB)
I decided to re-install windows XP.
Previously it worked fine, but very slow (that small partition)
I booted from the CD, re-formatted the HD when asked and everything went
smoothly until the installing windows section.
There were a number of files that it couldn't copy off my very expensive and
definitely legal XP home disk. I will list them later if anybody responds.
however, I now have XP with no IE 6, no help files, I can't get very far
with the network setup wizard (even though the 2 computer LAN worked
perfectly before I re-installed it).
arrrgh!!
