Settings on Apps for All Users (or Default User)

Hi...
I'm using Terminal Services in a classroom setting.
I finally managed to get *.pps files to associate with
PowerPoint Viewer and not with the main PowerPoint
program (by editing the registry). Now what I need to do
is set up PowerPoint Viewer so that it doesn't give a
context menu when right-clicked and the control button
doesn't appear in the lower left of each slide. I can do
these setting for each account individually, but that's a
pain when there's 700 accounts to do this to. How do I
make those settings for PowerPoint Viewer to work for all
users and all accounts I create?
Thanks,
Paul Bleier (e-mail address removed)

Changing the Default User profile will only effect new users,
since their profile is created as a copy of the Default User
profile.

I would try this: create a fresh user account, make the changes
that you want in PowerPoint Viewer, locate the keys in the
registry where these changes are stored, export those keys to a
regfile and put a line in your users login script to import this
regfile.

Ooops, hit Enter to fast....

The best way to configure settings for all users in a TS
environment is during the installation of the application. After
installation is finished, but while still in "install mode", start
the application and make the configuration changes that you want.
Then quit the application and change to execute mode. All settings
you made will be the default settings for all users.

You can still do this after installation, but it involves creating
a fresh Administrator account to make the changes in install mode.

See this article for a description of the shadow area of the
registry and what happens when you go into install mode:
