I downloaded a game for my kids to play. It is called Alice Green Fingers 2.
I installed the game in the Programs folder. I can play the game without any
problem. However, the game is not for me it is for my kids, who are set up as
limited users on the computer.

The game will not let limited users save "the current game state" because
they do not have administrator privileges to the folder that contains the
game. That means they have to start over every time she plays. This is
unacceptable to them.

How to I change the privileges for the folder containing the game so that
limited users can save the game state? I assume they need the privilege to
modiy a file or save files in the game folder.

The game software company gave me instructions for Windows XP Professional
but they do not work for Windows XP home edition because there is no security
tab on the folder Properties.

Please tell me where to ask this question.

Thanks
George

"In a WinXP Home system, you must first restart in Safe mode, then logon as
the default administrator. Once you've accessed this tab, add "read &
execute" to the permissions of the limited user group."

Touch Base,

Read & Execute when they are trying to write isn't going to do anything, is
it? Write permission deny springs to mind with your instructions
