Setting up Live Mail in Vista Mail

I have been unable to reply to newsgroups and am not sure what settings to
use when setting up my Live.com email account to send and receive mail.

Can someone walk me through this or direct me to a site?

The easiest way is to download and install the newer Windows Live Mail.
Just type in your Live email address, and it does the rest.

Windows Mail cannot access http accounts, like the normal Hotmail/Live
accounts. Although, MSFT has recently added access to those accounts via
POP3. It may not be accessible in all countries yet.

Windows Mail doesn't (yet) support Live.com accounts.
You will need to upgrade to Windows Live Mail:
