Setting up a password for a shared wireless connection?

Hi, I live in an apartment with three other people, we have a dsl connection,
one person is connected to it with a cable and the other three are connected
through wireless. we have a problem with other people stealing our
connection, but we don't know how to protect our connection with a password.
does anyone know how to do this?
