i have set a task in the tasks, and it won't work, it says that the password
or user name are not correct, what are these passwords, or user names?

it says that the user name is some like the name of my pc,

eg. mypc\name of person

well this is already there but the password is blank so i have typed a
password in and still nothing,

i do not log in to my pc, i just turn it on and it there ready to use, (not
sure if this helps)

hope someone can help me.

also one of the tasks i am trying to set is called 'Ad-Aware' so it runs
automatically, at around 3 in the morning, and i get to look at the result
when i get up much later, therefore i do not have to wait ages for it to
complete!!!

i have set a task for norton anti virus with no problems, but nothing else
can be set

hope someone out there can help me solve this problem.

thanks for you help in advance.

cheers

Jason

It does. See "Scheduled Tasks Cannot Run with a Blank Password"
