Setting Rules on Outlook Exchange 2003 Server

Hi

I was wondering if I can create rules on the 2003 exchange server for
individual mailboxes, I was able to do it on 2000 but can't seem to find the
option on 2003.

Thanks

Hi Sue

Would I be right to asume that the user would login as normal at their own
PC and if they create a rule and it follows standard enough settings for
example moving messages from an existing user to a particular folder in their
inbox that it would automatically work as a server-based rule and if for
example the user wanted to move the message to a folder that is in their
personal folders it would then be a client-based rule which means they would
have to be logged in before the message would be moved.

Hope that makes sense.

There's rather more to it than that. Whether a rule is server- or client-based also depends on the conditions for the rule, too. See http://www.slipstick.com/rules/serverbased.htm
