Setting Reminders in a Task

I am using Office 2003 w/Exchange.

I have created a subfolder under my Task folder to organize the tasks by
departments. When I create a task in one of the subfolders and mark the
reminder box, I get a message that says "the reminder for "meeting with Bob"
will not appear because the item is not in your Calendar or Tasks folder. Is
this ok?".

Is there a setting that will allow for me to set reminders at this level?
