Setting program access and defaults

Windows XP Home Edition.

When I try to set the program access and defaults to "Microsoft Windows" it
refuses to do so and puts me back into "Custom".

I am the only user - ever - on this machine.

Can anyone out there help me?

ummm ....... i think you are in the wrong forum this forum is for
microsoft access database not windows
