Setting multiple Folders as default view in Explorer

O

Ozman

How can I set the default settings for Folders view so that I can see the
folders tree in the left hand pane rather than "File and Folder tasks".
"Other Folders", etc"? i.e. just like if you click the "folders" button,
which is becoming a pain to do each time. Sure this was a default in Windows
98.

Just create a shortcut to '%SystemRoot%\Explorer.exe' (without quotes). Windows Explorer has the Folders pane activated by default.

Folder Options -> File Types -> hi-lite 'Folder' -> click 'Advanced' -> hi-lite 'explore' -> click 'Set Default' -> 'OK' you way out.
