setting file permissions

P

Pender

I am trying to install php scripts using frontpage and I
keep getting errors when the scripts try to open and write
to another php file. I have it remotely hosted on a
windows server of which they first told me that windows
automatically assigns permissions, unlike the CHMOD
command for Unix. Then they told me I could set the
permissions from frontpage. Does anyone know how to do
that from frontpage. I have looked all over and can't find
it. Thanks!

You host will need to set the required permissions for the folder and/or
file, as this can not be done via FP, must be accomplish via the server OS.

Or create a subweb in FP for your PHP dynamic pages (then don't open the subweb in FP and manage the permissions of the subweb using
FTP)
