Setting Chart Defaults in Powerpoint 2000

Help! Before I even make myself even more nuts trying to figure this
out, I have a few questions on charts in PowerPoint. First off, I
created a template for a company I am working for, they want all their
colors plugged in so all they have to do is click CREATE A CHART and
all the colors are in - now, I am able to set my palette so the 1st 4
colors of the chart are correct, then the 5th color goes to whatever is
set for SHADOW, usually black. Is there any way to get around this so
the client does not have to manually change the color??

In addition to setting the defaults in a template for the chart, can
FILL effects for the chart also be set? The client likes gradient
colors, do these have to be manually put in each time you create a
chart, or again, is there a way around this so its all plugged in
neatly already so the client does not have to do?

Thanks for any assistance!!

Have a read at http://www.echosvoice.com/colorschemes3.htm and then holler
back if you have more questions or if it doesn't answer your questions in
the first place.

Also, I should make this clear, because it's not crystal clear on that page:
if you modify the colors in a chart (using Tools/Options/Colors, clicking a
swatch and hitting Modify), those 40 standard colors reset to the originals
when you insert a new chart. So you unfortunately cannot use
Tools/Options/Colors to resolve your color issues.

One of these days I'll add that to the page so I don't have to type it out
here. Thanks again to the poster a few weeks ago for helping me see this
omission!
