Colors go away when copying a chart from Excel to Powerpoint

Hi, When i try to create and chart in excel and copy the chart to powerpoint
2007, the colors go missing. I had to then manually select each datapoint in
the chart and select colors. Can I how to overcome this? This really eats my
time.

Make sure you're using the same theme in Excel as in PPT. In Excel go to the
Page Layout tab and click Themes. Choose the correct theme on the dropdown
there. That gives you the same colors, fonts and effects as that same theme
in PowerPoint, so the colors don't change when you paste from one to the
other.

This has been a problem for me to.
Turns out this is the expected behavior. :blush:
To preserve formatting, right-click, use the past function and "preserve formatting" instead of Control-V.
