Copying chart with text boxes from Excel to PowerPoint in /Office

I need to copy chart that has the text boxes from Excel to PowerPoint in
Office 2007; I’ve tried either paste, paste special, or insert>object, the
chart is copied fine but missing all the text boxes. No problem in Office
2003. How do I get the text boxes embed to the chart when copying to
PowerPoint? Thanks.

For what it's worth, I can't repro the problem here. I just created a chart
(not on its own chart sheet, either) and added a textbox near the top of one
of the data labels. I selected the chart, copied and pasted in PPT 2007. The
textbox pasted, too.

How did you create the textboxes?
