Setting browser to respond to hyperlinks in e-mails?

Is there a setting to select the browser that opens when a hyperlink is
clicked on in an e-mail or does it default to the "default browser" in
Win XP?

My problem is that when I click on a hyperlink both Firefox and
IE(ver:7) open that link.

TIA

Then one or the other has screwed up the default browser setting. You should
have only one default browser. Try checking the option in each browser to
check whether it is the default browser, (in IE Tools-Internet
Options-Programs and in Firefox Tools-Options-general) and start each
browser. Answer Yes to the question in the browser you want to use and No in
the one you don't.

I had already done that...FF is set as the default and IE is set at "not
your default browser". This issue only happens with links in Outlook no
other application (like my newsreader) which tells me it is something in
Outlook that is causing both browsers to open.
