I just had FP2003 installed, and I'm tooling around getting to know it... and noticed pretty quickly that the links from help that point to this online site are wanting to open in netscape. Is there a setting to change IN FP? I use both browsers.

thanks

Thanks, but perhaps I wasn't clear. I know how to preview web pages in different browsers. What I meant was that FP's own help links, when they open up help files in the MS Office Online site, open in the Netscape browser (Help>Microsoft Office Online). And of course, FP doesn't like that. I get an error message... saying that I need to use IE... and then the entire page vanishes & that window faults out. If I'm quick, I can grab the url & paste it into a new window, but usually I cannot do this.

I have checked out my own computer's settings - Start>Settings>Control Panel>Internet Properties>Programs> and made sure that the setting is checked for 'Internet Explorer should check to see whether it is the default browser.' I'd done some looking and thought this would take care of it. It did not. And now I'm wondering if, during instillation, a setting was changed that should not have been - and if so - how to change it.

Probably because you set Netscape as your default browser...change default to IE
