Setting a defaulty Roaming Profile?? how??

Dave Hauss

We are running 2003 server with XP PRO clients.. we were having all
user have a mandatory profile. Now, I would like to switch over to
Roaming profiles. Is there any way I can take the mandatory profile
and make it the starting roaming profile for all the users in the
domain as well as any new users I create? (I changed the .MAN to .DAT
is case you decide to mention that).. the only way I could see was to
do a manual cut and paste into every users home folder.. this seems
like a lot of work.. any ideas?

Thanks..

Dave,

You should be able to create a "Default User" folder in the Netlogon share
and copy the profile into that folder. By default the users will look to the
netlogon share for the default user profile on newly created profiles. Make
sure that everyone has permissions on the folder and on the ntuser.dat file.

Hope this helps.
