Set system administrator??

I am the sole owner and user of my computer running XP and there are some programs that I can not run or install without contacting my system administrator..."I get a window to this effect"
How do I make myself the system administrator please????

If you did not assign yourself administrator priveldges at time of setup you
must start your PC and Login as Administrator - can you remember the password?

Once in as administrator, click START> CONTROL PANEL> USER ACCOUNTS
click on Change and set the account as administrator.

I don't use a password...have never used one.
