Set default task start date

When your create a new task, is there a way to set the default start date to
Today. My outlook is setting the start date as "Next week"

I thought Default was none... how are you starting the task?

If you mean Quick Flags in Outlook 2007, right click on the flag column and
choose set quick click to change it.
