Set Default Printer for a User?

Dear All,

Now, I've remotly installed the network printer(Print
server printer)for some users' PCs with the command:
"rundll32 printui,PrintUIEntry"
Anyway, I still cannot set the default printer for those
uses remotly. Now, all the PCs and Users are in my windows
domain. I would like to know that is there any way to set
the default printer for those users. I've tried to use the
command "rundll32 printui,PrintUIEntry /y /..." to set the
default printer, but it doesn't work. It's becasue this
command is only work on the certain user who run this
command. Actually, I will use the administrator account to
control those things. I've also tried to change the
registry to set the default printer, but it still doesn't
work. It's because I can't modify the registry of the
dedicated user. My objective is that I don't want to
onsite service and don't want to let the user know what I
do. That means I would like to use a remote method to do
this job. Thank you very much.

Best Regards,

Aries

You can set the default printer for a logged on user by changing the
"Device" value under: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Windows
You could throw this in a logon script for the user. Let me know if this
helps
