Robert, if you have a question it's considered polite to use the big textbox
to post it in a comprehensible manner. You're talking to real human
volunteers, not to a search engine.

If it's about Microsoft Access, microsoft.public.access is appropriate. If
it's about Microsoft Update, m.p.microsoft_update_catalog might be appropriate
- I've never visited there though.

Please note that "the big textbox" means nothing to people who are accessing
this newsgroup via Windows Mail, as I am. I assume the big textbox refers to
some component of a website linked to a forum?
Lots of people access these newsgroups/forums in a variety of different
ways.

Apologies, DP - you're quite correct (I actually use Agent, an excellent NNTP
news client). Based on context it looked like the original post was via the
Microsoft website, available on
http://www.microsoft.com/office/community/en-us/default.mspx?d=1 or via Office
help - it would seem I was mistaken.
