My family's computer just went screwy yesterday. Everytime it booted
up, after the winXP loading screen, there would be a blue screen for
not long at all, and then it would reboot again. It wouldn't let me
into safe mode, so I formatted and tried to reinstall winXP. Now,
during setup it'll give me a blue screen and hang there. The Blue
screen says something about a session manager initialization system
process tereminated unexpectedly with a status of 0x0000034 (0x00000000
0x00000000).

Any ideas on how to fix this? Or what it is?

Setup is hanging on some hardware driver that is failing. I would remove unnecessary hardware, Install windows, and reinstall all
hardware, one at a time.
If you run an XP "Upgrade"setup, from the original, or "Gold" version of the setup CD, and you have SP2 installed, it might go into
a setup loop, and you could lose your install. Uninstall SP2, BEFORE you Upgrade setup from CD (that lacks sp2 on it.)
