Since I switched from NIS to ZA I get certain alerts like "Do you want
Services and Controller app to accept connections from the internet. Source
IP: 216.148.227.68:DNS. Application: Services.exe." Could someone tell me
what this is and, even better, tell me where I could go to research these
kinds of things myself?

I don't know what this exactly does, but I suspect that it somehow manages
your connections to the internet. I also run ZA and if I don't let
"services" access the net, I can't access anything using my browser or
e-mail.
Hope this helps.

George, I later found out that this is essential and should be left alone.
And I was informed that a good place to research things like this is
http://www.answersthatwork.com/Tasklist_pages/tasklist.htm which I then used
to remove a bunch of non-essential things from my startup tab.

Thanks.
