SERVICES.EXE uses 100%

I am at SP4 with all latest updates (except for media player 9).

Have the latest updates for Norton Anti Virus, Via 4 in 1 drivers, MSI
motherboard drivers for video, sound, ethernet, and just flashed BIOS with
the newest version.

PC locks for many seconds (anywhere from 20 to 120) and then responds.

How do I fix it?

How do I fix it?

John, use an on-line virus checker to check your system. Many viruses
try to disable AV programs. If that turns out clean, look at
Microsoft.com and search the knowledge base there. Then ask here
again.
