services.exe 99% CPU

Hi,

I'm looking for an answer to my services.exe in task manager using 99% of my
cpu. There is also a second services.exe in there and it is using 0%. I
have removed all of the extra hosts in the host file. I have paused some
services to find out which one is the culprit, to no avail. I have sp4
installed. The system runs alright for a little while then forces me to
reboot when trying to open OE6 or other larger app's. Can someone help me
with this problem?!?

Thanks in advance!

Thanks for the response,

Yes, AdAware and spybot have both been run as well as CWShredder to no
avail. The spybot was putting hosts in the host file to block the MalWare
but I did delete the 150+ extra hosts. Not sure what to do next!

Thanks Again

Hi Greg,

What seems odd here is that one of them is in CAPS and the other is not.
The one in caps is at 99% the other says 0%. I've also noted that the
printer attached to the machine runs extremely slow. I uninstalled and
reinstalled the printer and reapplied sp4, ran all spyware programs and
virus scans with no problems found. I'm stumped!!

Thanks for Your Reply
