Does having both SP1 and SP1a installed cause any problems? Please reply to
group.. Thanks, Frank

Frank,

If you already have SP1, you don't need to install SP1a. Windows XP SP1a is the same as Windows XP SP1 except that the Microsoft virtual machine (VM) is removed in SP1a.

.
I found out that the only differance between the SP1 and
the SP1a is that the Java Virtual Machine is not included
with the sp1a, thats it, funny huh, but really true.

Ramesh, thanks for the reply but my question was really - since I have both
installed is that bad - thanks again, Frank

No. It should not be a problem, though not needed. What does "Winver" command say? Should reflect the last installed SP.
