Service pack version too low for Hotfix for win2000

Can anyone help. I downloaded the hotfix for Windows 2000
and recieved this message:

"Setup detected version of service pack installed on
system is lower than is necessary to apply this hotfix. At
minimum you must have service pack 2 installed."

Is there a hotfix for earlier service packs for 2000?

Try downloading it again - I believe this has been addressed. In fact, just
go to www.windowsupdate.com and get this and all other critical patches. Do
this regularly. Also get a firewall (www.sygate.com is free for personal
use).
