hi there
tried to install the full version of sp3 from microsoft as I don't have my
installation cd's with me, but when I run it I still keep getting prompted
for the cd and then have to cancel the setup.
it's really irritating me as every few minutes the reminder keeps popping up
in the corner - any ideas??
thanks

Hi

Windows XP hasn't got a Service Pack 3. Are you perhaps referring to SP3
for MS Office 2K or Windows 2K?

Does the same here if I don't show it the Office install CD. Its normal.
If the prompts irritate you, don't attempt the install until you have the
install CD available.

Natasha,

That SP3 is apparently a hoax ?!

Check Microsoft.com for an official reaction of this manufacturer !

I don't have Windows Office XP, but when my computer tries to install
updates, message I get is that Windows Office XP Service Pack 3 could not be
installed. Should I just ingore the message, or is there somethng I need to
do so that this won't come everytime my system tries to install updates.
Thanks for any help!!
