I am not getting the "save as" prompt in internet explorer after installing
service pack 2 for xp. i have checked the confirm open after download and
automatic download options and both are set correctly. it looks like other
people are having the same problem in the forum but i have not came across an
anser that will work. One file i am having problems with is a csv file. It
automaticlly opens with excel inside of an internet explorer window when
clicked.

the right click option does not work in the scenario. the file is built
dynamiclly using the options you enter on a website form. you have date
options that let you select a beginning date and ending date. once you click
submit the file is produced a send back to you. before sp2 IE would prompt
you asking you to save or open. after sp2 it automaticlly opens in excel.
