I just downloaded SP2 and installed. upon restart computer
locks up on Windows XP screen. Does not matter if you try
to restart in "safe mode" or last known working config.
does not work. Please help. Also tried to start from XP
disk and norton disk ...does not work

SP2 won't stop the XP or Norton CD's from being bootable - you must have
other issues
