I keep getting an error message saying Access is Denied when the installation
is just about done. It worked on my husbands computer. Why won't it work on
mine? If you need more information to help me ask and tell me where to look
for it LOL.

You receive an "Access is denied" error message when
you try to install Windows XP Service Pack 2

I find the easiest way to solve this problem is to reset the Administrator
permissions back to defaults in the registry rather than finding Access
Denied messages in the "setupapi.log" which is described in KB 873148 and
could take considerable amount of time..

Here is a simple guide on how to reset the registry.

Once you have completed the registry permission reset then try to install
Service Pack 2.
