The offical minimum for Windows XP, with or without SP2, is 233MHz (and even
that is too low for decent performance). If you are running with a 180MHz
processor, you are well below that minimum, and your performance must truly
be terrible.
Will it be any worse with SP2? For most of us the answer is that if it is,
any diference is so small as to be unnoticeable, but whether it would be
unnoticeable in your case, I'm not so sure.
