Downloading Service pack 2

It says that i need a 233 processor and i only have a 180 processor..will i
be able to dl the service pack 2 without any trouble?

You can probably download, but install is a different question

I would not run XP SP2 on such an old processor, you are leaving yourself
open for problems.
Consider upgrading your hardware.

Since Windows XP requires the 233 processor (300 recommended) It seems to me
that if you are satisfied with Windows XP on your current system, back up
all of your data (preferably to a new $600 machine) and give it a try. If it
doesn't work use the nice new machine!

If you mean you have an AMD Opteron 180 processor then you are fine as far
as installing.

By the way the term "download" or "dl", as you put it, refers to transfering
files from the internet to your computer. I think you are asking about
installing SP2 not downloading.

Answered in another newsgroup. Please do not send the same message
separately to more than one newsgroup (called multiposting). Doing so just
fragments the thread, so someone who answers in one newsgroup doesn't get to
see answers from others in another newsgroup. And for those who read all the
newsgroups the message is multiposted to, they see the message multiple
times instead of once (they would see it only once if you correctly
crossposted instead). This wastes everyone's time, and gets you poorer help
than you should get.

If you must send the same message to more than one newsgroup, please do so
by crossposting (but only to a *few* related newsgroups).
