service pack 2 and windows media player 10

So, after downloading service pack 2 and windows media player10, i cannot
view DVD's anymore. Actually, i can view the picture, but there is no sound.
What needs to be done to get this working properly again?

Check the sound Icon in your system tray to see if it is muted. Check Sound
card manufacturer for updated drivers.
